This one is about the pre-Google, pre MySpace era of the internet, when e-mail discussion groups with members numbering in the hundreds and thousands were not uncommon. With its dated references, (written in 1999) it almost classifies as historical fiction. ;>)

The long-awaited story of a man victimized by a violent woman. There have been few, if any, novels that deal with this subject, which is only recently being recognized as a serious problem for those families suffering from this kind of abuse.
In this story, Keith Astor, an attractive community college instructor who once had dreams of being an Olympic swimmer marries the wrong woman for all the wrong reasons, and becomes caught up in a cycle of abuse he cannot control. When his wife Clarisse attempts to kill their month-old baby, he is forced to turn to his neighbor and best friend, Mary, for help.
With Clarisse out of their lives, they think the worst is behind them when she reappears and begins stalking Keith. It seems not even Keith’s large, close, family or his sister-in-law the cop, can do anything to protect them.
